🛡️ Player Safety & Wellbeing

pkbat Responsible Gambling

At pkbat, gambling is entertainment — not a financial strategy, not a way out of debt, and never something that should come before your health, family, or wellbeing. This page explains our commitment to responsible gambling and the tools available to every user on our platform.

18+ ADULTS ONLY — OR HIGHER WHERE REQUIRED BY THE APPLICABLE LICENSE JURISDICTION

Our Commitment to Safe Play

pkbat is built around the idea that betting should be enjoyable — a way to add some excitement to a Pakistan cricket match, a PSL final, or an ICC tournament. We take responsible gambling seriously because we know that for a small number of users, gambling can stop being fun and start becoming a problem. Our platform includes a range of tools designed to help you stay in control at every stage of your experience.

Player Protection First

Every account on pkbat has access to a full suite of responsible gambling tools — deposit limits, loss limits, session time limits, cooling-off periods, and self-exclusion — active from day one.

Limit Your Spending

Set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit and loss limits in PKR to keep your gambling within a budget you are genuinely comfortable with. Limits take effect immediately and cannot be raised without a cooling-off period.

Session Time Controls

Set a maximum session duration so the platform automatically prompts you when your chosen time is up. This helps prevent long unplanned betting sessions — a key risk factor for problem gambling.

Self-Exclusion Available

If you feel you need a complete break, pkbat's self-exclusion tool suspends your account for a defined period — or indefinitely. During exclusion, marketing communications are also stopped.

Reality Checks

Opt-in to regular on-screen reminders showing how long you have been playing and your net position in the current session. A brief moment of awareness can make a significant difference.

Dedicated Support

Our support team is trained to handle responsible gambling queries with care and confidentiality. Reach us via Live Chat or Help Centre — Urdu-language assistance is available on request.

18+ Adults Only

pkbat is strictly an adults-only platform. You must be at least 18 years of age — or the higher minimum age required by the applicable operator license jurisdiction — to register an account, place bets, or access any real-money features. This is a non-negotiable condition of use and not merely a formality.

Age verification is conducted during account registration as part of our Know Your Customer (KYC) process. We may request supporting documentation — such as a CNIC, passport, or other government-issued ID — before approving withdrawals or account upgrades. Accounts where age cannot be verified will be suspended pending review.

Providing false information about your age to gain access to pkbat constitutes a breach of our Terms & Conditions and may result in permanent account closure and forfeiture of any balance held.

Pakistan Law Notice

Users in Pakistan should be aware that online gambling may be restricted under local law, including the Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977. pkbat does not claim to be licensed or approved by the Government of Pakistan, PTA, State Bank of Pakistan, or any Pakistani authority. Users are solely responsible for determining whether their use of the Platform is lawful in their jurisdiction. This is not legal advice.

18+

Gambling is for adults only. If you are under 18, or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction, you must not use pkbat.

Know the Risks

Gambling — whether on Pakistan cricket, PSL matches, ICC tournaments, football leagues, UFC fights, or casino games — always carries financial risk. The house edge means that over a long enough period, the majority of players will lose more than they win. Understanding this reality is the foundation of responsible gambling.

Gambling Is Not a Way to Make Money

Betting odds are designed so that the operator retains a margin over time. Winning streaks are not predictive of future results. Never gamble with money you cannot afford to lose, and never chase losses with larger bets in the hope of recovering funds — this is one of the most common pathways into problem gambling.

Set a Budget Before You Start

Decide in advance how much you are comfortable spending — for example, PKR 1,000 on a weekend PSL matchday — and treat that as a cost of entertainment, not an investment. Use pkbat's deposit and loss limit tools to enforce your budget automatically so emotions do not override your intentions mid-session.

Never gamble: to pay bills or debts, to recover lost money, when emotionally distressed, under the influence of alcohol or substances, or using borrowed funds (including through Easypaisa, JazzCash, or any loan service). These situations significantly increase the risk of harm.

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can develop gradually. The earlier it is recognised, the easier it is to address. If any of the following signs apply to you — or to someone you know — it may be time to take a break and seek support.

Spending more money or time gambling than originally intended
Chasing losses by placing larger or more frequent bets
Gambling to escape stress, anxiety, boredom, or personal problems
Feeling restless, irritable, or anxious when not gambling
Lying to family members or friends about gambling activity
Borrowing money or selling belongings to fund gambling
Neglecting work, studies, family responsibilities, or health
Failed attempts to cut down or stop gambling
Thinking about gambling constantly throughout the day
Continuing to gamble despite repeated significant financial losses
Risking important relationships or career prospects due to gambling
Feeling a need to gamble with increasing amounts to feel the same excitement

Recognising more than two or three of the above in yourself is a strong signal to use our self-exclusion or limit tools and to reach out for professional support. You can contact our team at any time via the in-platform Help Centre.

Player Safety Tools

pkbat provides a full range of responsible gambling tools directly within your account. These tools are free to use, take effect promptly, and — where restrictions are involved — cannot be reversed instantly to protect you against impulsive decisions.

Deposit Limits

Cap the total amount you can deposit in a defined period. Available as daily, weekly, or monthly limits in PKR.

Immediate Effect
Loss Limits

Set a maximum net loss over a chosen period. Once the threshold is reached, further betting is paused until the next period begins.

Immediate Effect
Session Time Limits

Define how long a single betting session can last. A prompt appears when your time is up, and you can choose to stop or continue with awareness.

Configurable
Cooling-Off Period

Take a short break from the platform — from 24 hours up to several weeks — without going through full self-exclusion. Limits cannot be increased during this period.

Reversible

Deposit & Loss Limits — How They Work

Setting financial limits is one of the most effective responsible gambling actions you can take. Below is a practical overview of how pkbat's limit system operates to protect your bankroll.

Limit Type Period Options Example (PKR) Effective From Reduction Delay Increase Delay
Deposit Limit Daily / Weekly / Monthly PKR 5,000 / week Immediately Immediately 7-day cooling-off
Loss Limit Daily / Weekly / Monthly PKR 2,500 / day Immediately Immediately 7-day cooling-off
Session Time Limit Per session (minutes) 60 minutes max Immediately Immediately 24-hour cooling-off
Cooling-Off Period 24h / 7 days / 30 days 7 days break Immediately N/A Cannot be shortened

Important: Reducing a limit takes effect immediately for your protection. Requests to increase a limit are subject to a mandatory cooling-off period to prevent impulsive decisions made during a losing session. We recommend reviewing your limits before major sporting events such as PSL finals or ICC tournaments.

Self-Exclusion

If you feel that gambling is no longer something you can manage with standard limits, self-exclusion gives you the option to take a complete break. This is a serious tool designed for users who need a stronger form of protection, and we take all self-exclusion requests very seriously.

Request Self-Exclusion

Contact our support team via the in-platform Help Centre or Live Chat and request self-exclusion. You can choose a fixed period (1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 12 months) or an indefinite exclusion with no predetermined end date.

Immediate Account Suspension

Your account is suspended promptly. You will be logged out and unable to log back in or create a new account during the exclusion period.

Marketing Communications Stopped

All promotional emails, SMS messages, and push notifications are stopped immediately. We will not send you offers, bonuses, or event reminders during your exclusion.

Funds Returned

Any remaining balance in your account will be processed for withdrawal in accordance with our standard withdrawal procedures. We will not hold your funds.

Reinstatement Process

At the end of a fixed exclusion period, reinstatement is not automatic. You must actively request reactivation, undergo a brief review, and — where appropriate — set responsible gambling limits before your account is restored.

How to Request Self-Exclusion
  1. Log in to your pkbat account
  2. Navigate to Account Settings → Responsible Gambling
  3. Select "Self-Exclusion" and choose your preferred duration
  4. Confirm your request — the exclusion takes effect promptly
  5. Alternatively, contact Live Chat or Help Centre directly for immediate assistance

During self-exclusion, attempting to open a secondary account is a breach of our Terms & Conditions. If discovered, any balance in the secondary account may be voided.

Quick Self-Assessment

Answer the following questions honestly. If you answer "yes" to three or more, we strongly recommend using our limit tools, taking a cooling-off period, or reaching out to a support resource listed below.

1

Do you find yourself spending more on gambling than you originally planned, even when you intended to stop?

2

Have you ever borrowed money — including through Easypaisa or JazzCash — specifically to fund gambling?

3

After losing, do you frequently return to the platform to try to win your money back?

4

Has gambling caused arguments, stress, or concern for family members or friends in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, or elsewhere?

5

Have you ever hidden your gambling activity from someone close to you?

6

Do you think about gambling during work, studies, or other daily activities and find it hard to concentrate on anything else?

7

Have you tried to cut down or stop gambling but found yourself unable to stick to that decision?

8

Do you sometimes gamble to feel better when you are anxious, stressed, or low — rather than purely for entertainment?

This self-assessment is not a clinical diagnostic tool. It is intended to prompt honest reflection. If your answers concern you, please use pkbat's safety tools or contact one of the support resources listed on this page.

Support Resources

If you are concerned about your gambling — or about someone else's — a number of organisations provide confidential support. The resources below are text-only mentions provided for informational purposes. pkbat does not have a formal affiliation with any of these organisations.

Gamblers Anonymous

An international fellowship for individuals who have a gambling problem. Offers peer support meetings and confidential helplines in many countries. Visit their international website for details of available support.

GamCare

A leading UK-based organisation providing information, support, and counselling for those affected by problem gambling. Offers online chat, a helpline, and a self-help forum accessible to international users.

BeGambleAware

Provides free, confidential information and support to anyone affected by gambling harms. Offers a national helpline (UK-based) and a comprehensive online self-help programme used internationally.

Mental Health Support — Pakistan

For users in Pakistan experiencing mental health challenges linked to gambling, Umang helpline (0317-4288665 — plain text only) and Rozan offer counselling and psychosocial support services.

Protecting Young People

pkbat takes underage access extremely seriously. If you share a device with younger family members — children or teenagers at home in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, or anywhere else across Pakistan — we strongly recommend taking the following precautions to prevent accidental or deliberate access to gambling content.

Always Log Out

Never leave your pkbat account logged in on a shared or family device. Always log out completely after each session, especially on smartphones used by multiple household members.

Use Strong Passwords

Choose a strong, unique password for your pkbat account and do not share it with anyone. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for an additional layer of account security.

Parental Control Software

Consider using parental control tools — such as Google Family Link, Apple Screen Time, or third-party filtering software — to block access to gambling websites on devices used by minors.

Secure Payment Methods

Keep your Easypaisa, JazzCash, bank cards, and other payment credentials private. Do not store payment details in a browser or app that a minor could access on a shared device.

Report Underage Access

If you believe a minor has accessed or registered on pkbat, please notify our support team immediately via the Help Centre. We will investigate and close the account without delay.

Open Conversations

Talk to younger family members about the risks of gambling in an age-appropriate way. Understanding that gambling involves real financial risk — and is not a game — is an important life lesson.
